Course Objectives:

By the end of this evidence-based scar assessment and CRPS course course, participants will be able to:

             1. Explain CRPS pathophysiology and diagnosis, including mechanisms, types, stages, and application of the Budapest Criteria.

2. Perform comprehensive physiotherapy assessment for CRPS and integrate Pain Neuroscience Education to address fear and maladaptive beliefs.
 

3. Design and implement stage-based, evidence-based rehabilitation programs, including sensorimotor and neuroplasticity interventions.
 

4. Apply clinical reasoning and multidisciplinary principles to manage complex CRPS presentations and justify treatment decisions.

Dr Tarshika Jain, PT, MPT (Neuroscience),is a physiotherapist specialising in Neuroscience, with advanced clinical and academic training in Neurology. She completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Gujarat University and earned her Master of Physiotherapy (Neuroscience),developing expertise in neurological rehabilitation, oncology‑related physiotherapy, and complex patient management. Dr. Jain has contributed to the physiotherapy profession through original research and scholarly writing, with publications addressing key contemporary issues such as stroke rehabilitation, cancer‑related physiotherapy needs, the neurological impact of COVID‑19, and diabetic foot care. Her work also includes writing on mental health considerations in physiotherapy practice, reflecting her commitment to holistic, patient‑centred care. Professionally, she has been associated with HCG Cancer Centre, Ahmedabad, where she has applied her clinical skills within multidisciplinary oncology care. Her academic involvement includes tutoring and instructional roles in neurological physiotherapy, where she supports learners in developing strong foundational reasoning and evidence‑based practice.
