Learning Objectives for Lymphedema Management Workshop - MLD Training
- Analyze the underlying anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system and its role in the development and management of lymphedema
- Apply evidence-based strategies for assessing and diagnosing lymphedema, including differential diagnoses, to create individualized treatment plans
- Demonstrate the use of Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT),including manual lymphatic drainage, compression therapy, and exercise, in clinical practice to reduce edema and improve patient outcomes
- Evaluate the clinical implications of different lymphedema management strategies, such as compression garments and Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and assess their effectiveness in a variety of patient populations.
- Design patient education programs that empower individuals with lymphedema to manage their condition effectively, focusing on lifestyle modifications, skin care, and early detection of complications.

About Presenter
Bhavna Rajesh Devnani is a practicing physical therapist in the state, health advocate, and influential podcaster with a passion for healing and wellness. She earned her Bachelor's in Physiotherapy from Dr. D.Y. Patil College in Pune, India, where she was awarded the gold medal for being the top scorer of her class. Her leadership skills shone through as she became the president of the student council and the valedictorian of the 2015-2020 batch. Driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, she pursued a Master’s in Kinesiology and Exercise Sciences in Dallas, Texas, where she also served as president of the South Asian Student Association (SASA).
Bhavna specializes in sports rehabilitation, orthopedic therapy, post-surgical rehabilitation, and lymphatic therapy. She has expertise in musculoskeletal conditions, strength training, and advanced manual therapy techniques, with a particular focus on postural correction, spinal health, and women’s health. With over five years of clinical experience in various therapeutic settings—including outpatient orthopedics, inpatient rehabilitation, and sports medicine—she focuses on restoring functional movement and improving patient outcomes. Bhavna is also a certified kinesio taping therapist and an educator in both lymphatic therapy and kinesio taping. Her qualifications include certifications in Lymphatic Therapy, Kinesio Taping, Pilates, and Zumba.
Bhavna has worked extensively in both India and the US, helping clients with diverse needs. In addition to her clinical work, Bhavna has established a powerful presence in the health and wellness community as the founder and host of the "Let’s Talk About Health by Bhavna" podcast. Launched in 2023, her podcast has quickly become a respected platform for healthcare professionals, therapists, surgeons, and wellness experts to share their knowledge, expertise, and personal journeys. With over 150 guest speakers from around the world, her podcast fosters global collaboration and community building, providing valuable insights into the evolving field of healthcare. It is available across major platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify. Bhavna’s podcast is also in partnership with Clinically Pressed, a prominent American non- profit organization, enhancing its global reach and influence.
She has been invited as an international speaker at numerous prestigious events, such as the 1st Virtual International Physio Conference (2024),where she spoke on injury prevention, and has participated in leading podcasts like Physio Social Club (Australia) and Wellness Debunked (Canada). She has also been featured on platforms in Italy, engaging in cross-cultural discussions about the field of physical therapy. Her podcast and speaking engagements have opened doors for her to educate and inspire both aspiring healthcare professionals and patients worldwide.
