Shoulder arthroplasty - This is a surgery to replace or reconstruct the shoulder joint, and after the surgery, the patient needs to undergo a comprehensive shoulder rehabilitation program. Issues related to treatment approaches are critical determinants of shoulder function recovery and reasons influencing patient satisfaction and proximal rehabilitation process.

This online physiotherapy course is needed to help rehabilitation specialists to create and execute best practice guidelines for patients with shoulder arthroplasty. The perception of principle of exercise prescription, the use of manual therapy, and principles of functional training will enable physiotherapist  develop private rehabilitation interventions plans for their respective clients.

  4. Increase the coordination of activities among surgeons, occupational therapists and other members of the health care team to enhance patient care during rehabilitation.

  • Apply rehabilitation principles to a case study involving a patient undergoing shoulder arthroplasty, including assessment of pre-operative status, post- operative management considerations, goal setting, and progression monitoring, to develop a comprehensive rehabilitation plan addressing individual patient needs and optimizing functional recovery
  • Through case scenario discuss in this online physiotherapy course physiotherapist will be able to  identify basic pre operative state, address post operative issues, establish objectives and evaluate degree of improvement for coming up with the programs for rehabilitation. Course Instructor

Dr. Rina’s physical therapy career spans over 23 years, through the UK, the USA and the Middle East. She has worked in Nationalized Healthcare Services, American health care and self pay services in acute care, in-patient rehab, skilled nursing facility, home healthcare and outpatient clinic. In addition to being a clinician she has developed specialty programs based on evidence-based practice in her role as a project manager. She has also managed the Physical Therapy department in the capacity of Head of Department in a premier private hospital in Oman. Dr. Pandya graduated from Manipal University, India in 2000 as well as University of Michigan, in 2018 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
